Women in the Woods

A truly unique, inter-generational camping session
for women and girls of all ages!

A Week of Fun

This is a rare opportunity to join other special women in your life at a very special place. Alumni, this is the perfect opportunity to relive your best summer memories with new and old friends around the campfire and down at the waterfront!

Campers (affectionately called WIWers - pronounced Woo-ers) can join us on the hilltop for an extra-long weekend. You’ll live in a cabin or tent, enjoy meals in the dining hall (singing not-optional), and get to enjoy all of the fun activities Ma-He-Tu offers to our “regular” campers!

We provide the activities and structure - but you decide how you want to participate. You can come for just one night, or all four. Don’t like an activity option? Skip it. The choice is yours!

Check-In and Check-Out

WIW begins the same day Session 3 ends, so to ensure a seamless and efficient check out for our campers and staff, the check in and out times have been adjusted to 5pm - 5pm the following day.

Those who are interested in extending their time at WIW can opt to stay for dinner on the day of their check-out for an additional fee. If you plan to only stay for the “day” or have made alternative sleeping arrangements, please register for the appropriate 24 hour period. For example, if you want to only come for Sunday afternoon, please register for "WIW: Saturday - Sunday".

We are transitioning to a new registration platform for 2023. We will email previous attendees with more information once we have it. There is only a $10 deposit needed per person per day to hold your spot - with multiple payment plans available - so please feel free to register as soon as you are able.

During Women in the Woods, we invite our oldest and youngest campers to attend, so we must do our very best to ensure everyone has a safe week. We have been reviewing the latest state and federal guidelines to inform our policies and procedures for this unique session. Please carefully read the WIW COVID-19 Playbook linked below that outlines the procedures and policies we followed in 2022.
